New String to my Bow

For the first time, this summer I was extremely privileged to be asked to photograph a proposal, which is a new departure for me, and I've now done two!  Beforehand I was slightly reticent as I worried it might be a bit intrusive to be there at such an intimate moment, but actually it was really lovely - joyous and emotional.  And both couples have since told me how happy they are to have such a memorable record of it, especially the bride-to-be's for whom it was of course a total surprise and so happened in a bit of a whirl!

Dev proposed in Hammersmith where he'd first met Bhavika years ago, and afterwards we walked down to the river and had a little portrait session to mark the event.  Whereas Bav had arranged for me and a couple of musicians to be in place at Heathrow to photograph his proposal before whisking Tanisha off on a surprise holiday.  Here are a few of the snaps...

Early Morning in Greenwich

Tomorrow I'm photographing Emma and Nick's wedding, so I dug out a few photos we took back in early April and thought I'd post them now.  Very early one morning we ventured to Greenwich Park, where we found some beautiful and ancient trees, and of course fabulous views across London.

Peacocks at Dawn

I'm just doing the post-production for Jo and Tom's wedding, so I thought I'd share some photos from their early morning pre-wedding shoot back in May.  We did this in Holland Park which is where Tom proposed, so it was lovely to revisit the spot - this time with me and a camera!

A Summer's Evening on the Heath

Here are a few pics from Flora and Jason's pre-wedding shoot, photographed in perhaps my favourite spot in London, Hampstead Heath - a little bit of wilderness in the city.  So beautiful, especially at this time of year with all the wildflowers in bloom, and a very fitting setting for such a beautiful and lovely couple!

Messing About in Boats

Last Sunday I met Rowena and Dan by the Serpentine for a pre-wedding shoot with a difference - this time we were on the water..  Dan is a rower and they met at Henley, so rowing on the Serpentine was a perfect fit, we couldn't really have done anything else.  The weather was perfect and Rowena and Dan looked fantastic - very colourful and very coordinated, wearing what they wore when they first met.  You can see why it was the beginning of something special! Here are a few of the photos we took....

Pre-Wedding Shoot on Hampstead Heath

Back in early January, I met Annabel and Rupert in Kentish Town and we walked up to the Heath for a pre-wedding shoot.  It was a beautifully sunny but cold (and very muddy!) winter’s day, so the Heath was quite busy but we managed to find a few nooks away from the crowds and took some lovely, happy shots.  Here’s a little selection….

Welcome to my blog....

After a very busy summer, I now have a little time to devote to sprucing up my website and I thought I'd start a blog, which is very exciting...  So to kick it all off, here is a selection of photos from a pre-wedding shoot I did with Julia and Kiall a week or so ago.  We met on a sunny Sunday morning, and after a fortifying coffee and slice of cake at a surprisingly good cafe in Lincoln's Inn Fields we did some v relaxed photos in the square, and then walked on down to the river.  I'm photographing their wedding at the end of November at St Ethelreda's and then at the Law Society, and I'm really looking forward to it!
